Together with the National Amazon Research Institute, the NTFP Foundation has taken on Melipona bee cultivation. This is the breeding of Amazon stingless bees. Their honey was already valued as medicine by the Mayans and Incas and is still used today to cure flu and wounds.

In this workshop, you will receive an introduction to stingless bee biology and Melipona cultivation and have an unforgettable experience in the Amazon. You will also discover various highlights of the Amazon, such as overgrown ruins, unique waterfalls, and interaction with the local communities and their way of life.
The Amazon Bee Safari is led by Dr. Jessica Maccaro and the president of the NTFP Foundation, Dieter Bratschi, who has been traveling the Amazon for 25 years.
